Live Organically & Naturally
We use natural ingredients of the best quality and organic
ingredients whenever possible. We believe the key to good
food is using top quality ingredients and minimum processing. We
put in our noodles only the good stuff that is 100% natural &
we want to eat ourselves.
Support Local Communities
We source our ingredients locally from Vietnamese farmers. Our
soup and noodles are developed from traditional Vietnamese roots
however many of our ideas and techniques are new to the communities
we work with. We are jazzed to share our vision and value their
input. Our local Vietnamese Suppliers = Eagerness, Enthusiasm and
Energetic. What more can we ask for? A perfect partnership.
Sometimes this means higher costs for us as some of the stuff we
need is so new. Using recycled packaging and printing with
soy-based ink - this was unheard of. But we prefer using Vietnamese
suppliers instead of doing it cheaper elsewhere for we believe that
the higher costs is worth it in the long run for these communities
and us.
Promote Sustainable Businesses
We pay a premium to producers and manufacturers. This allows
them to look after their workers, the environment and follow
sustainable farming or organic standards. They reach for higher
goals and uncover innovative solutions.
Our rice supplier achieved Global Good Agricultural Practice
certification and our main spice supplier (Star Anise and Saigon
Cinnamon) is USDA Organic certified. In Vietnam, many small
producers cannot afford certifying their products by an independent
international body so we are proud of their achievements and
encourage these types of high standards. We have our own standards
to ensure the quality of our product, the fair treatment of the
workers and the protection for the environment that we ask our
suppliers to follow.
Make the Earth a Cleaner Place
In line with this commitment, we use 100% recycled paperboard
and soy-based ink for our packaging. And as we grow, we want to
make sure our carbon footprint doesn't. What is our #1 priority for
our packaging? Well, to continue to learn of novel 'green'
techniques that won't destroy new trees or add to landfills. Then
of course, share this knowledge with others in Vietnam. We can't do
this alone.
Advance Women-Owned Enterprises
As a women-owned business ourselves; we are committed to
promoting women entrepreneurs. Women make up the majority of our
supplier's management teams as well as their staff. In a country
like Vietnam, women are very eager to make a mark not just within
their households. We want to encourage this spirit.
