Q: Are all Star Anise Foods products
vegetarian/vegan?
A: ALL our products are vegetarian & vegan
friendly. We give you the Pho noodles meal kit and you can make it
witih meat, seafood or as a vegetarian pho. Yup, no animal
anything is used to make our noodles or soup base. We want everyone
to try our products. And if you crave your favorite meat, we've put
traditional recipes on the back of each box to make this
happen.
Q: Do you have MSG in your products in any
form?
A: We are one of the few packaged products on the market
that has NO MSG whatsoever, in any form. It's unfortunately
common practice for some manufacturers to hide MSG, or MSG-like
substance in certain ingredients or under different names. We
will never do that. We declare every single ingredient that
goes in our Pho Noodles and you will see that they are just
wholesome, nutritious and truly all natural ingredients.
Q: Do the Pho noodles in Happy Pho
contain coloring?
A: No way! Our Pho noodles have a
natural 'brown' color which comes from the high quality brown rice
we use. You may also see flecks of brown-green which are just
our organic green tea. There is nothing in our noodle that you
won't recognize -- just brown rice, water, green tea and a little
salt.
Q: Does Star Anise Foods produce all of
its products in Vietnam?
A: Yes. Every spice in our spice packet and
every ingredient in our noodles is grown and harvested in Vietnam.
Our goal is to produce the best-tasting, most authentic, healthiest
pho noodle soup possible. And that means 100% Vietnamese
products.

Q: Is it true your products are Gluten Free
Noodles?
A: Yes. It is so true that ours are .
No wheat. No barley. No rye. No soya sauce. No gluten hidden in
long ingredient list. Our noodles are created from high quality
brown rice and our spice packet are just spices.
Q: Why are some of the listed
ingredients 'organic' and some are not?
A: Many of our suppliers are working
towards organic certification which can take years to achieve. In
Vietnam, many of the farmers are too poor to hire an international
3rd party certifier. So although they may manage their growing
process in accordance to general organic guidelines, they may not
have the resources to make it official. We work hard to
create as 'organic' a product as possible. A healthier planet is
our number one goal.

long term vision in mind. So we selected suppliers that are top
quality and share our outlook - long term. We don't cut corners. We
pay people fairly. And we treat our suppliers as part of our team.
